The International Centre of Studies on the Tourist Economy - CISET (in Italian: Centro Internazionale di Studi sull’Economia Turistica) was established in 1991 by the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice.

CISET is Member of the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Business Council, it is recognized as an outstanding and advanced research and post graduate education centre on tourism.

CISET is a non-profit research organisation established with a mission to carry out research and studies on tourism with particular attention being paid to its national and international, regional and local, economic aspects as well as the management side of tourism.

It specialises in two complementary areas: consultancy and research and an ongoing higher education activity addressing both newly-graduates and tourism professionals.

In the field of education CISET also carries out post-graduate training activities and organises each year the Master's Degree in "Economics and Management of Tourism".

It was established by CISET back in 1993 with the aim to form managers for a sector that was lacking in specialized professionals. Since 2003 the course has become a first degree University Master. This degree is one with the longest traditions and most valued in the tourism sector.
